Full Building Survey - Blofield Norfolk
We undertake Full Building Surveys and Home Inspection Surveys and on a range of domestic properties, from flats for first time buyers, to prestigious properties for high net worth clients. This includes Listed properties, timber-frame structures including barn conversions, as well as non-traditional construction types such as
As part of all of our survey inspections, we also examine and report upon the condition of underground drainage systems by means of Closed Circuit Television Surveys (CCTV) so that our clients are fully informed of any subsequent implications. Along with this, NICEIC electrical testing and reporting is also included as standard.
For high-level close inspection we use modern digital imaging equipment controlled from ground level. This eliminates the need for costly access platforms.
During our residential surveys we consider express concerns that potential purchasers may have, for example the feasibility to extend or alter the property, or environmental factors such as disturbance by aircraft noise from airports etc, and specific requirements for radon gas testing of residential properties.
Here at JGA we offer our own bespoke 'Level 2+' survey which we have called the Home Inspection Survey (HIS). This exceeds the Level 2 standard reports that are commonly available on the market today, including that of the RICS Homebuyer service.
We also provide 'Level 3' Full Building Surveys. The scope and content of each of our surveys is well in excess of the market norms in terms of content and detail.

Commerical Acquisition Survey - Basildon Essex
John Goddard Associates are repeatedly relied upon by many commercial clients to provide high quality pre-acquisition surveys, including due diligence matters prior to committing to financial investment.
We are also instructed by clients to determine the extent and implications of building defect diagnosis by carrying out comprehensive surveys which often include (in the case of concrete-framed buildings) concrete testing to determine structural integrity and wants of remedial repair due to concrete defects.
Our reports are clear & concise yet extremely thorough in content, and we are regularly commended by instructing clients as to their high quality and detail. Of equal importance is that they are written in straightforward language and are free from unnecessary technical ‘jargon’ so that clients do not feel intimidated by the use of overtly ‘technical’ language.
Reports are provided in a traditional bound hard copy format and additionally, electronically, as an interactive and user friendly 'flipbook' which is available to you for 30 days following completion of your report. This can be viewed on your computer, tablet and smartphone.
We are confident that JGA surveys are the most wide-ranging and detailed you will find available.
